Counterbalance lift trucks

General-duty pallet lifting for docks, yards and wide-aisle storage, specified by duty cycle, power source and floor condition rather than by headline capacity alone.

Specify this category

Supplied within this category

  • Electric and internal-combustion counterbalance trucks
  • Three-wheel and four-wheel configurations
  • Mast and carriage options, fork lengths and attachments
  • Operator environment, visibility and cabin options

Scope varies by requirement and by what manufacturers make available for a given configuration. Nothing here should be read as a stock statement.

Technical evaluation

What decides the specification

These questions are worked through with you before any equipment is proposed. The answers are recorded so the specification can be audited later.

  1. 01

What is the real duty cycle?

Hours per shift, number of shifts and lift frequency drive power source, battery or engine sizing and service planning more than rated capacity does.

  2. 02

    Indoor, outdoor or both?

Surface condition, gradients, weather exposure and emissions or ventilation constraints narrow the viable power source before any model is proposed.

  3. 03

    What is actually being lifted?

Load dimensions, centre of gravity, pallet type and attachment weight all reduce usable capacity. Residual capacity is read from the manufacturer's load chart, never estimated.

  4. 04

    What are the site limits?

Door heights, aisle widths, beam levels, floor loading and turning space are measured on site and recorded in the specification.

Documentation

Figures we confirm from manufacturer sources

We do not publish capacities, dimensions or performance data on this website, because those figures are only meaningful for a specific configuration. For a quoted configuration, we supply the manufacturer's own documentation alongside our proposal.
